I have heard about your school and want to find out about lessons. Where do I start?

You can drop by, give us a call, or email us and we will tell you everything you need to know.

Do you have a registration fee?

No we don't. We go to great lengths to accommodate our students without charging administration fees because the money you spend at Melody School of Music should go to your music education only.

How many lessons do I need to pay for?

At the beginning, we ask that you purchase a minimum session of 4 lessons. This will allow both you and your child to get familiar with the school and the teacher. Once you're happy after the first group of lessons, we then sell sessions in blocks of 8 lessons.

What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule my lesson?

We will not charge you for the lesson as long as we have been informed at least 24 hours in advance. In this case, a make-up lesson will be scheduled.

How many make-up lessons can I have in each session?

Unlike other schools, the number of make-up lessons is unlimited. We will do our best to use the credit to your benefit.

What if I register for lessons for a certain instrument, but then change my mind?

No problem. We are very flexible, and if you would like to try playing another instrument, we can switch you over in the middle of the session. However, we do recommend that you give each instrument at least a few classes to get used to it.

Do you have any discounts?

Yes. We offer a family discount when there are two or more people from one family attending lessons. We also offer a second instrument discount when a student signs up for more than one instrument.

I take music at school and need some help.

Many of our students take lessons with us to catch up at school and strengthen their music skills. Our excellent teachers will work with you to ensure that you succeed.

I need to prepare for RCM exams. Can I do this at your school?

Yes. We have highly qualified teachers who specialize in preparing students for RCM exams. Students who attend our music school for that purpose always get great results.

What is the age range of the students attending lessons?

We have students of all ages: children, teens, adults, and seniors. Lessons are personalized according to each student's needs and goals.

Do you have special programs for children?

Absolutely! Personalized programs for children start at the age of four. These programs are designed as to keep the attention and interest of our younger students while introducing them to the basics of music.

Tell me more about lessons for adults.

We actively welcome more adults to learn with us. Often, this comes as a lifetime ambition to play a certain instrument in a favourite style of music. Our teachers can help you fulfill that ambition by offering expert instruction in an informal atmosphere. We teach many parents as well as other adults who come to us independently.

Should you have any questions that are not addressed here, please contact us at your earliest convenience and we would be happy to answer them for you.
