Welcome to Melody School of Music - a family focused local music school in Toronto. Our school is conveniently located next door to St.John's Music store in the leafy suburbs of Leaside in east-central Toronto.

Here at Melody School of Music we like to create a nurturing environment while challenging our students to develop their talents to the fullest. Our teachers have as many skills and attributes to their personalities as they do to their music. It is very important to us that our teachers can offer a friendly, personable service that defines us as a very receptive, approachable, and sincere school of music. The teachers at Melody School of Music have outstanding reputations and impressive resumes both nationally and internationally, and we are glad to be able to offer such talented teachers.

Parents are welcome to attend classes with their children or view the lessons through a special parent-viewing window fitted to each of our classrooms. In fact, many parents attend classes to learn or improve upon an instrument themselves. We invite you to learn at our school regardless of your age or level of ability.

Twice a year we encourage our students to perform in recitals which are held in large auditoriums. We love to see them develop incredible confidence from this achievement in their music, as well as gain increasing enjoyment of performing on stage. To recognize these achievements, the School crowns the occasion with a Melody School of Music Certificate of Participation.

It is a proven fact that children who learn to play music have advanced cognitive abilities to learn in other academic areas of their schooling. There are no long-term commitments here at Melody School of Music, and so should either you or your child decide to change instruments or take a leave of absence, we are happy to accommodate your needs.

At Melody School of Music, we believe that communication between the school and the parent is one of the fundamental parts of a student's musical education. All our students get progress reports from their teachers at the end of each session. Progress reports provide insight and feedback on how a student is progressing, and offer suggestions for improvement.
