Brian is a guitar teacher at Melody School. He has also composed music for solo instruments, improvisers, chamber ensembles, big bands, electronics, jazz groups and rock bands. Additionally, his compositions have premiered in Toronto, Kitchener, Guelph, Montreal, Boston, New York and Budapest. In 2020 he released an album titled Approximate Maneuvers with
saxophone player Paul Newman. Brian is an experienced music teacher. He is passionate about teaching the technical essentials
of music and his teaching philosophy centers on using pieces that interest his students.
