What happens if I register for lessons but change my mind about the instrument?

No problem – we are very flexible. If you would like to try another instrument, we will switch you to any other instrument with a two weeks’ notice. However, we do recommend that you give each instrument at least a few lessons to get used to it.

Do you have any discounts?

We offer a family discount for additional family members attending lessons. We also offer a discount for students enrolled in more than one music program.

I take music at school and need some help. What assistance can I get at Melody?

​

Many of our students take lessons with us to catch up at school and strengthen their musical skills. Our excellent teachers will work with you to ensure you’re prepared for class, tests, concerts and competitions.

 

I need to prepare for the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) examinations. Can I do this at your school?

Absolutely! We have highly qualified teachers who specialize in preparing students for RCM exams, always get great results. 

 

What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule a lesson?

We will schedule a make-up lesson as long as we have been informed at least 24 hours in advance.

 

What is the age range of the students attending lessons?

We have students of all ages: children, teens, adults and seniors. Lessons are personalized according to each student’s needs and goals.

 

Do you have special programs for children?

We certainly do! Personalized programs for children start at the age of 2.5. These programs are designed to keep the attention and interest of our younger students while introducing them to the basics of music.

 

Tell me more about lessons for adults?

We welcome adult students to learn with us. Often, this comes as a lifetime ambition to play a certain instrument in a favourite style of music. Our teachers can help you fulfill that ambition by offering expert instruction in an informal atmosphere. We teach many of our students’ parents as well as other adults who come to us independently.
